Disney princesses frequently don the same shoes in movies. Like GrizandNorm, they’re lucky if they get two pairs, but most of the time we don’t see them picking out shoes. Have you ever pondered the footwear that Disney princesses would choose for everyday use? Do they have a favourite style of footwear? Would they prefer to wear fancy shoes or would they regularly buy comfortable trainers? If so, which pair of designer shoes would work best for them?
Walt Disney Animation Studio feature animators Griz and Norm Lemay gave this subject a lot of thought. Griz is a character designer and visual development artist, as it says in their Instagram bio. Norm creates storyboards. They tried to predict which shoe designers each princess would frequent by taking into account their individual personalities. They came up with something like this.
