Undoubtedly, massage treatment is one of the most pleasurable things in the world. It can be done using hands, legs, other body parts, warm stones, and other kind of things depending on the type of massage. But what about a massage done by kitten paws? We believe that sounds rather wonderful! Animal massage is something not many people are ready to attempt (snake massage, anyone?) but once they do, it becomes the only sort of massage for them! Here are 5 types of animal massage that will blow you away.
Snake Massage
A snake massage sounds a bit weird because it is very much so! The method is fairly straightforward though — all you need to do is lie down unmoving under about 500 pounds of slithering snake and enjoy it as much as possible. While this may sound little alarming, the snake doing all the work is a python, which ensures you won’t be bitten as they are poison-less. They do have a tendency to strangle their food and then swallow it whole, so make sure you don’t make abrupt movements or loud sounds. Russia, Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines are among the few places that offer this sort of massage.

Snail Face Massage
Getting snails crawling all over your face is yet another approach to fight off ageing and make your wrinkles go away (or at least less obvious) (or at least less visible). Snail facials first originated in Tokyo and you can still get a few gastropods slime their way around your face for $200, but another alternative is to fly to Chiang Mai in Thailand and do the same for a more pleasant price of $30. The owner of the salon is a French guy, who carried about 100 specimens with him to Thailand, developing a farm of 30,000 critters that eat only organic food and make only organic slime. The science underlying the whole procedure is a bit obscure, but all beauticians agree that snail’s mucus has wonderful hydrating characteristics and more antioxidants than most cosmetic products.

Back Massage By Cats
Most bizarre and amazing things come from Japan, and so does the cat back massage! A somewhat odd massage business offers its customers the services of an actual cat masseur. If you’ve ever owned a cat you know they are amazing at ‘kneading’ objects before lying down, be it a pillow, a blanket, or a human lap. That’s why inventive Japanese decided to merge these cat skills and add them to the service of ordinary human massage. We’d absolutely give it a try!

Bee Massage Therapy
If getting bitten by a bee can be termed a massage, then undoubtedly this is the most painful sort of ‘massage’ out there! Some people endure up to 80 stings every day to gain the remarkable advantages of bee venom that is supposed to reduce spasms, back pain, headache, and help with ailments including rheumatoid arthritis, eczema, and psoriasis. Bee venom also has great anti-inflammatory effects, but be advised – those allergic to bee venom put themselves in grave risk by doing this kind of treatment!

Elephant Massage
From Thailand comes yet another unusual style of therapy – elephant massage! Mae Ping Elephant Camp in the north of Chiang Mai features a lot of fascinating services from an elephant ride through the jungles packed with native tribes to elephants drawing images (with brushes!) and playing musical instruments. You can also get a genuine elephant massage there! What happens is that you lie down on the ground and an elephant delicately puts a foot on your back. Yes, sounds not very safe, but that’s the whole concept.
