Diet culture and Chrissy Teigen are no longer together. It has taken years, but the author of Cravings has finally come to the conclusion that life is too short to give up the food she enjoys after experiencing so many “ups and downs” with it.
In People’s 2021 Beautiful Issue, she said, “I’ve thrown all of that out the window.” “I believe that at this time in my life, it’s more crucial for me to take each day as it comes.”
- Chrissy Teigen says she’s breaking up with dieting.
- “I’ve thrown all of that out of the window,” she said. “I think now at this point in my life it’s more important for me to enjoy things as they come.”
- As a former model, she’s had a complicated relationship with the scale for most of her life.
She is, in other words, placing more importance on what makes her happy than on a scale. “I eat what I want when I want it. My mind personally goes crazy if I don’t,” she said. “I kind of put my mind and spirit over my body a little bit,” the speaker said. I indulge in something if it will make me happy and feel good.

When she started modelling at age 18, her complex relationship with food and her body began. She revealed to Glamour UK in August 2020 that the weigh-ins and measurements remained consistent. I have lived my entire life. I’ve spent far too long counting calories, scheduling far too many workouts, and trying to define what wellness meant to me personally, she admitted to People. I’ve spent a very long time attempting to understand that.
She simply wants to divert her attention elsewhere. “I do think, ‘Arghhh, these kids,’ when I look at [my body] in the shower. I used to take aesthetics very seriously, but not anymore. She told Glamour, “Not having to worry about donning a swimsuit and looking good while running around on a beach is very fulfilling. “I don’t think I’ll be disrespectful to myself in front of my body either. I already have enough reasons to be angry with myself; I can’t include my body in those reasons.
Her third son Jack’s unexpected death in November 2020 probably made her more carefree. The mother of three was completely shaken by it, and it served to put things into perspective.

Now, she explained to People, “I know that [wellness] for me is on the ground playing with my kids, getting outside, going to a park, going to an aquarium, and being able to drive around with my kids in the car.” “That is something I like to do and is an activity for me.”
This change in Teigen’s behaviour appears to be part of a larger initiative to eliminate toxic people from her life. She underwent surgery to have her breast implants removed in May 2020 because she was “just over it,” and in March, despite having 13.7 million followers, she deleted her Twitter account because it “no longer served[ed] her positively.”
We respect those choices wholeheartedly. Chrissy, you do you!
